ULTIMATE DOMAIN

Ultimate Domain (or Genesia as it is known in Europe) plays a bit like a cross between Bullfrogs Populous and Sid Meiers Civilization, but with some unique twists of its own.

Ultimate Domain is a fun little game that I played a lot as a kid. It’s relatively easy to play and can be completed in one sitting, but it has a surprisingly high level of depth for the amount of stuff you have to manage. If you’ve ever wanted to build your own kingdom from scratch, this is the game for you.

””’In a nerdy tone:””’Ultimate Domain is like a cross between Bullfrogs Populous and Sid Meiers Civilization, but with some unique twists. You start by choosing your leader and then exploring the world, discovering new villages, trading with people, and defending against bandits. You’ll also want to expand your village and hire more villagers, because when it comes time to fight monsters and other players you’ll need all the help you can get.

The game gets really interesting after that with its snowballing effect; if you’re successful at fighting off invaders or capturing enemy buildings, you’ll have more resources to bring back to your own village, which means you can hire more villagers or upgrade them into better professions (one villager could become a blacksmith or an archer). The more villagers you have working for you, the faster your buildings will be built, making it easier to trade resources or conquer territory.

With its combination of empire building, resource management and real-time action, Ultimate Domain (Genesia in Europe) has the potential to be one of the most unique games on the market. It’s a shame that it isn’t more well known—the game is definitely worth a look if you’re into any of these things!
