Treasure Arena

In a friendly tone: Treasure Arena is an awesome battle arena game for up to 4 players at once. It’s based on the premise of getting as many gems as possible by eliminating your opponents, or by being the last one standing. The game has been available for about a year, but it’s recently been making waves in the indie gaming world and is totally worth your time (especially if you like games with friends).

It’s easy to learn how to play: each round is divided into two phases. In the first phase, each player has 30 seconds to find as many gems as possible by blasting away walls with a gun that shoots a beam at one gem at a time (you can’t shoot through rocks). When time runs out, you’re given 5 seconds for each wall you shot through to pick up the gems that fell through. The second phase is 30 seconds of all-out fighting, where each player uses one of three special attacks depending on their choice of weapon (pistol, shotgun, or machine gun) and tries to knock their opponents off the arena. Players have to be careful when they blast through walls though—if they hit another player while they’re trying to get gems, both players will be knocked back and lose health.

You can get a team of 3 treasure hunters together and go up against other people’s teams in head-to-head battles. Or you can face off against the computer, which is just as satisfying when you’re trying to level up your team.
