The Stairs

In this movie, twenty years after the mysterious disappearance of two hikers, a group of friends decide to go hiking along the same trail. Little do they know that an evil lurks beyond the tree line and has been waiting for some time for someone to come. They appear as humans but in reality are demons. Their goal is to take your soul. As you see this movie you will wonder what is going to happen next!

When you think of the classic horror movie trope of “Don’t go into the woods!” you probably think of some far-off distant land, or a certain area in your home state or province. But what if I told you that a bunch of people from all over North America decided to just walk into their own woods and see what happened? That’s where I come in. I want to tell you about a movie called The Woods, which was released in 2005 and then promptly disappeared, never to be heard from again. But it’s out on DVD now, and whether you’re looking for something spooky to watch around Halloween or just want to get freaked out when it’s already dark outside, this is the movie for you.

The Woods is set on the trail of a mountain called Sugarloaf, which has been abandoned by hikers for years after an unexplained disappearance twenty years ago. In one final group hike before they graduate from college, six friends decide they’re going to find out what happened—and when they arrive at the trailhead (where there’s no sign warning them off), off they go!
