Text Editor Pro

I like to keep lots of tabs open when I’m browsing the web, and as a result, I often need to go back and forth between multiple pages. This is where it gets tough if I’m using a lightweight browser like Google Chrome—the pages I’ve visited recently are often forgotten about on the tab bar, leaving me to click through several pages to remember where I was.

Recently, however, my friend suggested that I try Text Editor Pro. It’s a code and text editor that offers syntax highlighting for more than 50 scripting languages. It has buttons for copying text to the clipboard, opening new tabs or windows, pasting text into the page you’re viewing, and more. It also has a tabbed interface so you can see which of your pages you’ve visited recently as well as open new windows with just one click.

What started out as an alternative way to view sites quickly has become a tool in my workflow. I use Text Editor Pro every time I want to switch quickly between multiple web pages or refer back to something I’ve seen previously. Now when I have a lot of tabs open in Chrome, I’ll simply pop over to Text Editor Pro instead and save myself some time by not having to scroll through dozens of tabs anymore.

A good code editor is a necessary tool for any kind of software development. They are especially important for people who want to write their own code and release it to the public in some form, whether as a little program they can share with friends or a large program they intend to sell commercially. Text Editor Pro is one such code and text editor that offers syntax highlighting for more than 50 scripting languages, including HTML, JavaScript, Python, CSS, XML, Perl, C/C++, PHP and many more.

This means that the language structure will be indicated by different colors in the text itself. The font size of keywords like “if” and “for” can also be enlarged so they stand out from the rest of the text. The program also supports plug-ins that expand its capabilities even further beyond what’s already built-in.
