STRIKE ACES
STRIKE ACES Fighter Bomber (or Strike Aces in the US) is a fun but very challenging “recreational” flight-sim set in a bombing competition inspired by Gen. Curtis LeMays training events. You can fly 6 of the world’s most advanced aircrafts in futuristic environments, through various missions ranging from target defense to air combat, with varying difficulty and complexity. They say the more you play, the better you get, and I say they’re right!
STRIKE ACES Fighter Bomber (or Strike Aces in the US) is a fun but very challenging “recreational” flight-sim set in a bombing competition inspired by Gen. Curtis LeMays training events. You can fly 6 of the aircraft featured in the game in a single-player campaign, which consists of 7 campaign missions and four training missions. The campaign missions are loosely based on WWII, with lots of fun facts about history along the way. Each mission has 4 targets and you score points for hitting each one.
If you fail to hit 3 targets, you have to complete an additional “penalty” mission before moving on. It gets really tough because the game uses realistic physics for each plane, and it’s easy to crash if you’re not careful. There are also a number of different things to watch out for: weather, enemy aircraft, rockets, missiles and more. This can be hard at first but eventually becomes easier as you learn how to maneuver around them while planning your bomb runs. You can play this game as either a plane or a pilot, and although there is no multiplayer deathmatch option it is still very much worth playing due to its simplicity and addictiveness.
