SABOTEUR II
SABOTEUR II was released in 1984, nearly three years after the first Saboteur game was created for the ZX Spectrum. The original game was an action/beat-em-up type of game where players could take on the role of a robot who fights to save his fellow robots from a mad scientist’s control.
The sequel Saboteur II, which came out in 1984, is actually a fun beat em up game from Durell, a sequel to the first Saboteur which was released only on non-PC 8-bit systems including the ZX Spectrum computer. In Saboteur II, players can choose from one of four different characters; all of them have their own special abilities, different strengths and weaknesses and some have a few extra moves that others don’t get to share, too.
It’s not all about fighting robots though: players will also encounter plenty of different ‘bosses’ throughout the levels that stand between them and their mission to save the human race.

Saboteur 2 features more of the same gameplay as its predecessor with some nice enhancements. The original game featured 3 enemy types: guards, agents and bombers. In Saboteur II, Durell added 4 more types: the spy, the bomb expert, the scientist and the ninja. In addition to this, enemies start to fight each other if they get too close together which allows you to sneak by without a fight or pick up an extra life when fighting them.
