RATillery is a turn-based strategy game published in 2016 on DOS. It’s set in an artillery theme, and its turn-based gameplay is similar to that of chess or checkers: player 2 takes their turn after player 1 takes their turn. The game uses DOSBox to play.

Clicking the green flag at the top of the screen will begin a new game. The black triangle selects units, and you can use the arrow keys to navigate the map.

There are two teams: team A and team B. Team A is always blue, and team B is always red. Every unit has a vulnerability (represented by a color), except for helicopters. Helicopters are vulnerable to cannons but not vice versa.

RATillery’s art style is pixelated, with simple designs and colors that evoke nostalgia from games from the 90s like Command & Conquer or Dune II. It supports multiplayer via IPX networking or hotseat multiplayer (with up to three players).

RATillery is a game about strategy and tactics, with a strong artillery and generated levels. It was released in 2016, for MS-DOS.

RATillery was a strategy game released in 1992 for DOS. In the game, you were in command of an army, and your objective was to fight your way across each level and destroy the enemy command center. The levels were generated at random, so no two games were ever the same. While these random levels got the job done, they weren’t the results players wanted out of a game like this, so the developers came up with an innovative solution: they would release a level editor with the game!
