Personal Zen
Personal Zen is a game-based digital therapeutic intended to treat patients 13 years of age and older with mild to severe levels of clinically elevated anxiety or distress and is intended to be used in conjunction with traditional therapy. The software can be downloaded onto any internet-enabled device, including smartphones, desktop computers, tablets, or laptops.
Once a patient completes the initial registration and login process, they are granted access to the module library where they are able to choose from several different modules based on their current level of anxiety or distress. Some of these modules include:
Personal Zen’s proprietary “CBT” module, where patients are introduced to learning techniques that can help them manage their anxiety and improve their quality of life
A module that teaches breathing techniques which have proven effective in reducing stress
A meditation module that guides users through a guided meditation session
A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) module that focuses on how patients can change their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to the things that cause them anxiety. Personal Zen also contains other great features like a progress tracker, mood tracker, and multiple user support for families or counselors. Users also have the choice of connecting with an online mental health professional at any time via private messaging in order to receive additional support.

Personal Zen uses biofeedback and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help patients become more aware of their reactions to stressful situations, and more able to control their reactions in order to decrease their anxiety levels.
Personal Zen comes in the form of an app that patients can download onto their smartphones, which is intended as a way for treatment programs to be flexible with respect to the schedule of appointments that helps the patient most.
