Orinox Model Review
ORINOX is proud to introduce its new Windows app, Orinox Model Review (OMR) application. This app was designed with the engineer in mind, making it a powerful tool for review and collaboration.
In this blog we will highlight some of the key features of the new OMR app:
1- Creating 3D models directly from excel:
The first step to creating your model is to import data from excel. The data can be any type of 2D or 3D model such as sheet metal forming tools, sheet metal parts, plastic injection moulds etc. Once you have imported your data, you can add comments and/or tags to help you remember what each row represents. These comments and tags will help you understand your model when viewing it in 3D later on.
After importing you can also specify if you want a hole or a bend in your model. This will be important if you are planning on creating assemblies later on and would like to know where holes are in relation to other components. And finally you can specify if you would like the colours in your model to change from light grey (unspecified) to a darker grey once material properties
Ororinox Model Review (OMR) is a Windows app that allows you to visualize your engineering and design data in a way that suits you.
There are a lot of great engineering and design programs out there, but they all have one thing in common: they’re built to work in 2D. And while that’s fine for what they’re made to do, it can be limiting when you want to see three-dimensional representations of your data. What if you could have the best of both worlds? With OMR, you can!
