Office
The Office app enables you to get the most out of Office by helping you find all your Office apps and files in one place so you can jump quickly into your work. The app is free and can be used with any Office 365 subscription, including Office 365 Personal and Office 365 Home.
The new design is clean, simple, and modern with a focus on making it easy for you to discover and access the information that matters most to you: your content. It’s part of a suite of updates across the entire Microsoft consumer experience, as part of our effort to bring together everything people care about into one connected experience. The updated app also brings smart features like Document Search, which helps you find what’s important in your documents without having to search through thousands by looking within the files themselves.
You can even use it to collaborate with others on Word documents or edit Excel spreadsheets right from your phone or tablet—no need to install Office on those devices. It’s available today in preview on Android phones running Android KitKat (version 4.4) or higher, and can be installed from Google Play.
We’re all familiar with the “File” or “My Documents” folder on our computers, which acts as a repository for our work. But how often do we really need to dig through that folder to find the document we want? If you’re like most people, you probably use search more often than not, whether it’s the search bar built into your operating system or you’re using a more advanced search tool like Spotlight. Of course, file searches are only effective if you know what you’re looking for and if the document is actually on your computer. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was one place where you could find all of your files, regardless of what device they’re on?
