The first true sequel to the classic Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man is a decent PC conversion of the Atari arcade game of the same name. This is also probably the only sequel that Atari converted to PC itself (rather than licensing it out to a third party).

Ms. Pac-Man is a decent PC conversion of the Atari arcade game of the same name. This is also probably the only sequel that Atari converted to PC itself (they ported Ms. Pac-Man 2 to the PC as well, but that was done by Mindscape).

Ms. Pac-Man has all of the gameplay mechanics of Pac-Man and some additional features that make it pretty fun to play. The maze design is more labyrinthine and a bit more difficult than the original Pac-Man, and there are now two mazes you can select at any given time. You can also choose from four different levels of difficulty, making this a great game for beginners and experts alike.

The game doesn’t look quite as nice as it did in the arcade—the colors are a little bit off and there’s no sound—but it’s still really enjoyable to play on your PC.

Ms. Pac-Man is the first true sequel to Pac-Man, and it’s a decent port of the same game that was based off of the original. This is also probably the only sequel Atari ported to PC itself—most of their other games were released on consoles and other platforms, not PC.

Ms. Pac-Man was made because the original Pac-Man became such a phenomenon, so Atari wanted to capitalize on its success by making a game for those who hadn’t yet tried the series. Ms. Pac-Man was also an attempt to make the gameplay more challenging for experienced players, with faster ghosts and more complex mazes that are different every time you start a new game.
