You begin your journey in the middle of the particle space, and you’ll need to move around this world by tapping on where you want to go. It’s a unique (and confusing) platform game with a simple premise: you must try to make it through the level without dying.

In each level, you have a glowing orb that serves as your health bar—if you touch any of the particles floating around, they will catch on fire, like little microscopic fireflies. If a particle catches on fire, your orb will start to shrink. If it shrinks completely, it’s game over.

If you want to avoid touching them altogether, you can focus on running as fast as possible so that the particles don’t drift into your path. However, if you’re trying to work with your environment and use its particles to your advantage, you can slow down and use the particles themselves to propel yourself forwards or upwards.

You interact with other objects in the environment by touching them. You can tap on walls or other surfaces to make them move out of your way, or tap on a particle that is already moving away from you and then tap where you want to go—the particle will pick up speed and then propel forward when it touches another

Particle Space is a platform game designed by Adam Saltsman and released by Finji, and the music is produced by Kyle Gabler. The game uses a zero-sum particle system that is generated procedurally as the player explores the world and interacts with it.
