After inventing a time machine, a group of scientists come to learn that their actions are being controlled by unseen forces from another dimension. This discovery comes when the time machine is first turned on, and after a few minutes of testing, it suddenly takes the scientists back in time—not just a few days or weeks, but years.
The scientists begin to wonder why this happened, and what could explain such a strange phenomenon. One scientist suggests hyperspace manipulation, while another proposes that it could be some sort of radiation emitted by the machine. The group agrees to test both these theories, but neither can be supported by evidence. A third scientist suggests that they might be dealing with parallel universes—and it begins to seem like he might be right.
One day while running tests on the time machine, one of the scientists is accidentally sent back in time again—but this time only for five minutes. Everyone is shocked and excited by this unexpected success…until they realize that the scientist has been gone for thirteen hours. Their excitement turns to panic when they realize that the machine has sent him back 13 years into the past…and he’s still not there yet! The other scientists immediately begin tracking his progress so they can try to make contact with him when he arrives in
The scientists, as you might expect, are surprised by this new information. They’re also very excited—they’ve finally discovered how to travel through time!
