The company developed its own 3D game engine called Anvil Engine for their game HELLFORCES Hellforces and its sequel HELLFORCES Hellforces 2. The engine was used to develop two other games: HELLFORCES Hellforces’s prequel HELLFORCES Hellforces Origins and the third person action game HELLFORCES Hellforces: Operation Darkness (later renamed to HELLFORCES Hellforces: Wages of Darkness).

The Anvil Engine has been used for two more games since then – the horror first-person shooter HERETIC Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, which was released in 2005 as a commercial failure; and the action adventure game HELLFORCES Hellforces

HELLFORCES Hellforces is a video game published in 2004 on Windows by GMX Media, Buka Entertainment, MC2 France, Frogster Interactive Pictures AG. It’s an action game, set in a horror, post-apocalyptic and science fiction genres.[1] The story follows the protagonist – a mercenary Hellforces member named Ivan Kaminsky from his arrival to the underground city after the apocalypse to his ultimate decision to stay or leave.

The game has two modes of gameplay: single-player and multiplayer. Single-player mode has three levels with more then ten missions in each of them. In single player mode you can play as two mercenaries – Ivan Kaminsky and Violette Morris . Multiplayer game allows up to 16 players to connect over the internet or local network (LAN). Apart from playing with friends online, you can also create your own server and play with other players online. Multiplayer servers are divided into several game types: deathmatch, capture the flag , team deathmatch and capture the flag. Each type has different maps and adjustable settings (e.g., time of day and number of lives). The amount of weapons is limited and depends on a player’s rank – higher rank gives access to more powerful weapons.
