One of the first games by master sports game designer Ed Ringler, GFL Championship Basketball is a fun arcade-style basketball game that is notable for being one of the first sports games of any kind to feature a two-on-two version of 5-on-5 basketball. In this mode, one player controls both members of a team, who can pass to each other or even switch positions on the court.

The addition of two different players on the same team makes the game much more dynamic than in regular basketball; screen passes and high-low action are much more effective at beating out defenders, and players have an opportunity to show off their dribbling ability by taking it all the way down the court themselves.

The game is fast-paced and very fun to play with friends, especially when you’re looking for something that’s easy to pick up but still offers plenty of challenge. It’s also great for parties and family gatherings; set up a tournament bracket and let everyone get involved!

GFL Championship Basketball (released as GBA Championship Basketball in Japan) is a fun arcade-style basketball game that is notable for being one of the first sports games of any kind to be released on the Game Boy Advance. It’s a very fun and simple game, but it’s worth noting that this was one of Ed Ringler’s first video game designs—it was released in 2001, when he was only 21 years old. He would go on to design great games like Punch-Out!!, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and Star Wars: Battlefront II.
