Epic Battle Fantasy 5: RPG 12+
Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is an offline turn-based RPG adventure, full of video game references, juvenile dialogue, and anime fanservice (…and also strategic combat, monster catching, and tons of treasure to collect). It’s the latest in the series that started with the original Epic Battle Fantasy. If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy, Pokemon, or just funny RPGs in general, then this is a game you need to check out.
It’s the fifth installment in a series that has been around for over a decade, with this particular game marking the debut of a new art style for the series. Players take on the role of one of eight main characters and battle their way through a variety of monsters and bosses with the help of up to three other friends or AI companions.
As the name implies, it’s the fifth in its series of games. After a brief prologue that introduces you to the cast of characters and familiarizes you with how to use them (are you a longtime fan of the series or did you just buy this at random? It doesn’t really matter), you’re free to wander around the world map and play through whatever quests you like—it’s practically a sandbox game.
