Eleven Days is the story of Ben, a boy who goes on an adventure to find his brother after he disappears in the Australian Outback. It’s a thrilling tale with lots of action and suspense, but it also has plenty of heartwarming moments as well. Ben is a charismatic character—he’s brave and clever and sweet, but he’s also humanized by moments of doubt and fear that make him more relatable to the reader. He explores the outback with his dog Scamper, who is central to the story in ways that are both surprising and charming. The settings are described vividly in a way that really brings them to life; you can practically see the vivid blue skies above Ben as he traverses the arid desert.

This book was so engrossing that I found myself staying up late at night just to read one more chapter before bedtime. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging and adventurous story this summer!

Eleven Days is a story with a fairly simple premise, but what’s so incredible about it is how much emotion the author is able to put into the story. In his memoir, author Paul Stewart takes us on a journey from his home in Scotland to the Australian outback in search of his lost brother. During the course of this trip he goes through many different emotions and experiences, such as: fear, frustration, anger, and ultimately love.

In the beginning of this book I was very skeptical about reading this book because I did not have time to read another book that would take me away from my books I am currently reading. However by the end of chapter one, I was hooked and could not stop reading! With every page turn you find yourself wanting to know more about Paul’s adventure. You want to know if he finds his brother alive and if he does will they be able to mend their broken relationship? You want to know if Paul will survive being out in the Australian outback all by himself for eleven days with no food or water.
