DeKalb Elementary is this week’s Staff Pick Premiere. Our new interactive player enables viewers to watch the film, play with Directors Commentary, and read a Q&A with director Reed Van Dyk. To retrace the steps of his journey, Reed provides a map that includes the exact GPS coordinates of each school he visited. You can also explore the map to see which schools we weren’t able to visit, or simply explore your own neighborhood to find out what you might be missing. He explains why he chose the subject matter, how he approached telling the story, and points out things that may have been missed in watching it just once.
