This video game is a racing simulation title and it is the sixth installment of the Colin McRae Rally series. The game had extensive support for online play with a large number of players able to race against each other simultaneously. It includes three different gaming modes: quick play, championship and multiplayer as well as split-screen multiplayer mode that can be played on one computer.
Colin McRae Rally 2005 offers a wide variety of tracks from across the globe including Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Canada and the United States among others. The game introduces rally cross events to the series’ repertoire and allows players to race both on asphalt and gravel roads. As usual for the series, it features realistic physics model which takes into account factors such as vehicle weight, surface type and weather conditions.
The player has an opportunity to choose from over 50 cars available in total including both licensed real-world models
