Beach-Head is a video game published in 1983 on Commodore 64 by Access Software, Inc., U.S. Gold Ltd., Americana Software Limited. It’s an action game, set in an arcade, naval, shooter, tank, world war II environment where you control a tank called BEACH-HEAD and your goal is to clear enemy defenses from the beaches of Normandy with your side-mounted cannon and missile launcher. The game consists of six levels with the last one being a boss level where you have to destroy Big Bertha: a giant tank that has been terrorizing the allies for the entire war.

The game starts off with you landing on the beach and making your way up to Big Bertha’s front door. You can shoot at anything that moves, including soldiers and jeeps but also barrels and other obstacles that might pop up in your path. Every level has its own theme: like the first one is set on the beach where there are mostly barrels you can shoot at and mines to avoid while later levels introduce new enemies like helicopters and huge tanks that roll towards you down narrow roads. There are also some levels set in factories where you have to be careful not to fall down into some water or lava pits because if you do it’s instant death and then

In a friendly tone: Set in an arcade, naval, shooter, tank world war II action game, BEACH-HEAD (1983) was published on Commodore 64 by Access Software, Inc., U.S. Gold Ltd., Americana Software Limited.
