AFTERSHOCK FOR QUAKE

Aftershock for Quake was released on DOS, as well as Windows. Published by Head Games Publishing, Inc.,.

The year was 1996. I was nine years old and had just gotten my first computer: a tandy color computer, with a whopping 4mb of ram (that’s about 280,000 times less than I have in my current machine). Unfortunately, it didn’t come with any games on it (which is why you have to buy that at the store) so I had to go to the store and get one of those.

The only game in the store that seemed interesting to me was Aftershock for Quake by Head Games Publishing. It looked like a movie, and I was really into movies at the time. So I brought it home and installed it on my computer, thinking I’d get this game over with as soon as possible so I could play something else. After several hours of playing, I was hooked.

The first thing you do when you start the game is create your character: you can chose from several different faces and hair styles, as well as different clothes and accessories. You are then instantly thrown into a movie-like experience: the intro shows you walking down a street where an earthquake has just occurred, causing all sorts of chaos. Suddenly, an alien invasion starts up! The screen goes black for a second and then comes back with you holding some

A year after Quake was released, the sequel was released. It is called Quake II and was first released on Windows and DOS. Windows, like DOS, is a type of operating system that programs use to run. This means that Quake II can be played on both Windows and DOS. When it first came out it cost about $50 dollars and could be bought in any store where computer games are sold, like Walmart. Aftershock for Quake was made by Head Games Publishing, so if you want to talk to them you can look up their phone number or website online. All the information that follows is true except for the things I say otherwise.
