A.G.E.
Galactic Empire and its sequel A.G.E. (= Advanced Galactic Empire) are early first-person space/adventure hybrid from Coktel Vision. Both games sports a fast 3D engine with beautiful graphics, great soundtrack, and outstanding voice acting and dialogues (based on a script by French novelist and screenwriter Jean-Pierre Dionnet).
Galactic Empire (originally released in French as La GuĂȘpe) and its sequel A.G.E. (= Advanced Galactic Empire) are early first-person space/adventure hybrid from Coktel Vision. Both games sports a fast 3D engine with beautiful graphics, and you can freely move (and rotate) around the rooms and areas, unlike in most games where you couldn’t do that.
The main story in both games is about the main character who has to find the most powerful weapon, a golden scepter that controls all living beings of the planet (except those who are inside a special area), and unleash it against the evil empire. The game’s action is divided between two different styles: in exploration mode you solve puzzles, get into fights with robots and aliens, talk to characters, etc.; and when you enter one of the buildings/castles/etc., it transforms into a sort of adventure game where you have to search for clues using your hands and weapons on almost every object in order to get closer to finding what you’re looking for. This SE edition is identical to the CD-ROM version from 1995 which only contains these two games, so there’s no additional content or anything like that. But I’ve heard rumors
The Galactic Empire and its sequel, Advanced Galactic Empire, are a pair of early first-person space/adventure hybrids from Coktel Vision. Both games sports a fast 3D engine with beautiful graphics. You play as the daring Space Ace, an intergalactic hero who is the only one who stands between Evil and the peaceful planets of the galaxy. Evil has taken different forms in each game, but in this post we’ll be focusing on their debut, released for PC in 1990.
