When we think about purity, we may imagine a mountain spring or a crystal-clear pond. But God’s definition of purity is not about physical cleanliness at all. True purity is about spiritual cleanliness, and in the kingdom of God it’s not only those who abstain from sin who are pure; it’s those who actively pursue God and serve him wholeheartedly.
“The fear of the LORD is pure…” (Proverbs 14:27)
