Good morning, Mayor! Before you begin exploring the city, you’ll need to focus on the basics. The water treatment plant and road maintenance services will keep your city running smoothly, but you’re also in charge of zoning residential and commercial buildings as well as prioritizing energy sources.
SimCity BuildIt is an iOS and Android game based on the classic SimCity series. The title of the game is a bit misleading since in reality, you have no control over what your city looks like; instead, you must focus on the planning of your city. You begin with a small plot of land located in a grassy area with trees, water, and plenty of space to build.
As soon as you start playing you’re immediately thrown into understanding how the game works. The controls can be as complicated or as simple as you need them to be, but it’s best to start with a basic understanding before changing any settings. First off, your city is divided into four different zones: residential, commercial, industrial, and civic.
Your main goal is to keep the people in your city happy by encouraging them to start living in certain areas and working in others. This is done by zooming in and out of your map area until you find the perfect spot for residential, commercial or industrial buildings to go up. Once these buildings are up, people will start moving into these areas and commence working or shopping for their daily needs.
