3D Pitfall is a DOS video game from 1995, and it’s still available and playable today! It’s an action and puzzle game, set in a fantasy and falling block puzzle theme.

Its been 20 years since 3D Pitfall was released on DOS, and it still works in some fashion!
Ah, Pitfall. The game that made us all want to be Indiana Jones for a day. In the game, we are able to explore a jungle that is filled with hazards and treasures. We can collect jewels and gold, but we must avoid scorpions, snakes, fireballs, holes in the ground and other obstacles. We have to jump over waterfalls and avoid getting eaten by crocodiles. That’s just in the first level!
The game was released in 1982 on Atari 2600 but has had many remakes and versions throughout the years. For example, in 1994 it had a sequel titled “Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure” which also had an expansion pack titled “Pitfall: The Lost Expedition”. It was also remade as “3D Pitfall” in 1995 which is what we will be looking at today.
We really liked this version of the classic game because of its added elements like new items and enemies. However, I have to say that one of my favorite things about this game is how easy it is to play. My parents bought this for me when I was very young for my birthday and I still remember being able to play it without much difficulty. I am so grateful for
