The player controls one of four characters, who are trapped in an underground military bunker with zombies on all sides. They have to fight their way through these hordes and make it to the surface, where hopefully help awaits.
The game is played from a third-person perspective, with combat most similar to Dynasty Warriors. The player has a melee attack, and can pick up weapons from enemies or the environment to use as ranged attacks. There are three classes of characters: Commando, who relies on guns; Saboteur, who uses explosives; and Survivalist, who can heal themselves. Each class has unique abilities that can be unlocked through leveling up or completing challenges; for example, Saboteurs can set down proximity mines while Survivalists can craft healing items that they find in the environment.
