In this movie, a post-apocalyptic world where trust is in short supply, various survivors with competing agendas must form alliances if they want to stay alive. The movie is an entertaining ride, but it’s also not without flaws.

The opening scene begins with the narrator introducing two characters: Harry Stamper and Rockhound. We soon learn that they’re both NASA astronauts who’ve been sent on a mission to blow up an asteroid that is on course to collide with Earth. From there, the movie moves quickly into a high-stakes action movie – we see the astronauts take an experimental space shuttle into orbit to plant a nuclear bomb on the asteroid’s surface. Meanwhile, back on Earth, their families and friends work together to keep things running smoothly after the attack.

One major flaw of this movie is the way that it seemingly relies heavily on tropes from movies like “Independence Day.” The story is set up as a conflict between two factions: people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for others and people who are more concerned about their own interests. This movie has everything: a post-apocalyptic world, mistrust, betrayal, and of course…a lonely, endearingly awkward teenager.

A teenager named Riddick is one of the few survivors after an alien invasion. He has to team up with various other survivors in order to stay alive. This survival story is not your average tale of humans against aliens—there are a lot of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end.
