Formula One is a racing simulator released in 1994 by Lankhor and published by Domark Software, Inc. It is a typical racing game with several modes to play: practice, qualifying, championship and two player mode. In practice mode the player can choose any track he wants, the car he wants to use and the weather conditions (Sunny, Rainy or Stormy). The game is played with three difficulty levels which affect the number of opponent cars. After finishing a race, the player receives points for each position. The points are added to a global ranking that unlocks new tracks when achieving certain goals.
The first three modes are races played with either a single car or with a car on an empty track. The championship is made of seven races with one driver and three difficulty levels. In qualifying mode the player has to complete five laps on each track in order to qualify for the race. The fastest time wins; if he completes less than five laps he will be disqualified. Two players can also compete against each other in any of these modes using two joysticks or two computers connected over network or modem.
