Rogue Chess is an iOS version of the game of chess where the pieces can move any number of squares in any direction, but must make a legal move. The game has many fun features, including: * A traditional chess board and chess piece set, with your character on a quest to destroy the enemy king by moving into its space * Play against the computer or against any of your friends who have iPhones or iPads * Fun animated special effects when you capture the enemy king (if you’re on your way to winning) or when you lose your own king (if you’re on your way to losing) * Unlimited undoing that lets you go back to any state in the game, so you can try out new strategies without fear of making a mistake permanently * No paywalls – demo mode is fully playable for as long as you want, and a single IAP unlocks full access to all features and tools

Chess is one of those games that’s been around for centuries and has stood the test of time. It’s a game that requires you to think multiple steps in advance, plan on your opponent’s next moves, and outsmart them by anticipating their every move. But it also has a few flaws: it’s slow, because you have to wait for your opponent to make their next move before you can act; it can be very cutthroat and competitive, and thus not very fun if you just want to play with your friends; and I’ve always felt that the chess pieces themselves are boring—all the pawns look alike, the rooks all look like castles, etc. Fortunately, there are a bunch of new games that have come along recently to fix these problems. One example is  Puzzlecraft , a puzzle roguelike where you capture enemy pieces by moving into their path instead of having to go directly after them. It’s available on Steam right now!
